Description

As the main working element of the corrugated compensator, the metal corrugated pipe is rolled by the thin plate, formed by the die and welded into a cylindrical tube blank. When selecting, not only the working conditions of the bellows and the corrosion resistance characteristics of the material itself should be considered, but also the elongation corresponding to the forming ratio of the outer diameter and inner diameter of the bellows and the corrosion resistance matching the use environment.

Common materials of metal bellows:

The standard or low carbon 300 series stainless steel, also known as austenitic stainless steel, is corrosion resistant or stainless in weak medium such as atmosphere, water vapor and fresh water.

High nickel alloys are commonly referred to as nickel based alloys and iron nickel based alloys in industry. The nickel content of the alloy is more than 30%, which can resist the stress corrosion cracking of chloride.

The selection of metal bellows requires the user to provide specific working pressure, medium, temperature and working conditions to the manufacturer of the corrugated compensator. The metal bellows produced by Botou Universal Bellows have weldability, elongation, high temperature and low temperature performance compatible with working conditions, and corrosion resistance compatible with transmission medium and external environment. The material, thickness, length and other requirements of metal bellows can be made according to the customer’s technical conditions.

It is widely used in automatic control and measuring instruments, vacuum technology, machinery industry, power industry, etc.
