Clamp Type Rubber Expansion Joint

Clamp type rubber expansion joint, also known as an absorber, compensator, flexible joint, or hose clamp, offers a unique solution to compensate for pipe movement caused by hot expansion and fluid transfer. This joint incorporates a clamp instead of a flange and bolt to secure its connection to the pipeline. Simply clamp the joint onto the pipe, and detach it through a simple disassembling process when needed.

Description

Clamp type rubber expansion joint, also known as an absorber, compensator, flexible joint, or hose clamp, offers a unique solution to compensate for pipe movement caused by hot expansion and fluid transfer. This joint incorporates a clamp instead of a flange and bolt to secure its connection to the pipeline. Simply clamp the joint onto the pipe, and detach it through a simple disassembling process when needed.

Clamp type rubber expansion joint comprises an inner rubber layer, a middle layer of canvas reinforced with a steel dragon, and an outer layer of rubber. The joint is formed by combining and vulcanizing each layer with the clamp mechanism. The inner rubber layer directly absorbs the impact of fluid transportation, preventing wear and corrosion, while the outer rubber layer offers protection against environmental damage and corrosion. On the other hand, the reinforced layer provides the joint with strength and rigidity to withstand pressure and pipe movement.

The inner and outer rubber layers of general rubber joints are made of NR, CR, or EPDM; The oil resistant rubber joint adopts NBR; Acid alkali resistant and high-temperature resistant rubber joints are made of EPDM rubber. For fixture materials, there are stainless steel and carbon steel, and we usually use stainless steel.

they have a broad range of applications, especially in the aviation, petroleum, chemical, metallurgical, power, paper, pharmaceutical, food, timber, tobacco, and transportation industries.
